"Griffey" was a stunning stag red fawn dog. He has had a wonderful show
career which started by winning Best of Breed over specials from the bred
by class and a Group 2 and winning the ABC award for Most Bred By
Exhibitor wins in 1998. In March 1999, he became our first home bred
champion by winning Best of Breed over specials and a Group 1! What
a thrilling way to become a champion. Griffey an American, National
and International Champion with 4 International Best in Shows to his
credit. In 2001 he is back in the ring to finish his obedience title. He took a
second place and his second leg in July at the Coos Bay Kennel Club
show......he actually beat a Golden Retriever!!! He has completed his
Companion Dog title as well, scoring a perfect 200. Since Griffey finished,
he has been specialed 3 times. He has taken 3 Best of Breeds and a group 3.
One breed win was under the renowned breeder judge, Donna Cole.
Not too bad for a big lap dog!
We got his Rally title in 2005 with first
place in his class and a score of 98 out of 100. I am so proud of him.
We lost Griffey in Jun 2006 to a brain tumor. A part of my heart went with him.
He will never be forgotten. We have his granddaughter Britney her with us.
Griffey will live on thru her.
